Made for a bookmark, not borrowed from a hoop. A 12 cm x 4 cm embroidery blank you can hold in one hand: sheer silk organza edged in silk cord, wrapped by hand stitch by stitch, tassel already fitted. No hoop to fit, nothing to tension, nothing to mount afterwards. Six cord colours.

That cord edge is not printed or moulded — it is silk cord, hand-wrapped around the frame the same way a Su embroiderer finishes any fine piece. It is the part most bookmark blanks skip, and it is real manual work before a single stitch of yours goes in.

A faint guide can be traced under the organza to start you off, but the frame is yours: follow it, or embroider any motif you like — initials, a flower, a single line for someone's name. Sheer organza is the loveliest ground there is for fine embroidery; your stitches seem to float in the page.
